Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

What happens during a consultation?

Answer: there are three stages to a consultation process...

Stage 1: Prior to your appointment a consultation form and medical questionnaire will be emailed to you. This will need to be completed before your appointment. On the day we will thoroughly review your forms, looking at previous fillers/toxins and products used (if applicable). Discussion around your skin care routine and what concerns you may have will also take place. During this process I will inform you on what I can offer as your Aesthetic Practitioner such as a safe, comfortable environment, information on how I keep myself up to date with knowledge/ skills, and going through confidentiality and consent policies.

Stage 2: Stage one completed and consent gained I will ask you to make yourself comfortable within the treatment area. I will then clean the area you wish to be treated with a natural solution which is suitable for all skin types. The examination process will commence under a bright light. This will ensure I can complete a thorough assessment reviewing physical structures such as muscle strength and skin including hydration, pigmentation, texture, scarring, rashes and acne status. With your consent, pictures & videos will be taken during this stage and held according to data protection policy.

Stage 3: I will feedback my findings from your examination. Together, we will come up with a treatment plan that is suitable for yourself ensuring you are aware of prices, techniques, realistic expectations, complications and risks. It is within your rights, as a client, to take time out to reflect over what has been discussed. Once you are happy, we will then proceed to carrying out your treatment. This can be done on the same day for advanced facials or dermal filler. An Anti-Wrinkle appointment will need to be made for another date due to being prescription medication.

How do you personalise aesthetics treatments in clinic?

Answer: I believe treating every client as an individual is what makes for a personalised treatment. Every client has their own needs and wants. Therefore, as an Aesthetic Practitioner it is my job to ensure you are happy with your treatment and results but also keeping within my ethos.

Within your consultation I assess your anatomy and make sure that Anti-Wrinkle and Dermal Fillers are appropriate for you. If a client comes into my clinic and shows me a photo of The Kardashians lips and states they want this result I would use my knowledge, experience and skills to assess whether this would be achievable due to factors such as 'm shaped' lips, petite facial features etc.

I will confidently recommend alternative treatments if the clients initial desired look is not the best for them, with an explanation to reasons why. This is where my bespoke treatment plans are beneficial. Sometimes lips need to be built up over time to reduce risks of Vascular Occlusions and Migration (which is where my knowledge and skills come into effect). This ensures I give all my clients a personalised experience at CC Aesthetics and not a standard experience most clinics offer. Remember, as the client you are paying for a luxury and professional treatment therefore, you should only receive the best experience and with that personalised treatment plans and results.

How often can I have Vitamin injections?

Answer: Every client is different and this is something we will discuss and review during your free consultation. However, multiple injections are required to get the best results possible. A generalised recommendation is an initial treatment of 1 or 2 per week for the first 4 weeks but, these are purely general recommendations and a specific individual treatment plan will be developed during consultation.

What advice would you give to a new client who is anxious/ nervous about injectable treatments?

Answer: For clients who are nervous or anxious about having any treatments, especially injectables.. I understand! Working within the NHS as a Nurse and being a Aesthetic Practitioner I have plenty of experience working with patients/clients who find needles "scary". My job as your Aesthetic Practitioner is to make you feel relaxed at all times. Before we even get to the treatment stage, you will already know what the treatment involves.

Mentally preparing you for each stage: For those who are worried about pain, I use numbing cream and the smallest needles possible, also fillers have local anesthetics mixed into them this will ensure pain is kept to a minimal. I encourage all my clients to speak up if something feels uncomfortable but be rest assured: pain is minimal and when you walk out of the clinic you won't remember a thing.

Having had procedures myself, I understand the worries and questions on "what if it's not natural?" Therefore Darlings, I encourage you to take a look at my portfolio of 'before and afters' and see for yourself that all my treatments enhance on clients natural beauty and nothing is excessive or fake.

Are Skin Boosters any good?

Answer: YES..YES.. YES! Skin Boosters are injectables that improve skin texture, elasticity, hydration and overall appearance resulting in firmness, radiance and a youthful glow. They are a perfect alternative to Anti-Wrinkle and Filler but also work amazing alongside these treatments (Anti-Wrinkle and Filler will last longer). The best thing about SB is that it can be used pretty much anywhere, such as neck, face, under eyes (dark circles), hands, knees, cellulite etc.. The difference between SB and Filler is that Filler adds volume, lift and longevity whereas SB add hydration, treat fine lines and helps to produce more collagen resulting in a natural glow. To get the best out of your Skin Booster treatments 2 sessions are recommended initially then one repeated every six months.

What Filler do you use and why?

Answer: The main Dermal Filler Product I use is called Teoxane (award winning injectable product). I have tried and tested a few but I find that Teoxane offers clients a more natural result. Teoxane is a premium filler (no cheap fillers here) which is one reason why my prices are a little higher than other Aesthetic Practitioners. Benefits of this amazing product is that it is designed to work with, not against, your natural facial expressions, making them ideal for creating natural results and its resilience structures. Unlike traditional hyaluronic dermal fillers, these spring back to original shape after being altered, stretched, bent or compressed which is what happens when we use our facial muscles. Teoxane offers at home products (which are sold at CC Aesthetics) that work alongside your filler, resulting in longer retention of products.. meaning less top ups needed.

Does my picture need to be taken?

Answer: to the point.. yes it does and there are a few reasons as to why.

A before and after picture/ video is required for my insurance this protects you as well as myself. Taking before and after pictures, together we are able to see the difference that has occurred through your treatments as well as to identify any side effects. Another reason is for marketing purposes however, if you prefer your before and afters to not be used for marketing then that is okay. Ensuring your privacy and dignity is important to me as your Practitioner, I have plenty of clients, male and female that wish to keep their treatments private to them.
